For quite a while now, I’ve been asking for a full-length from Towers of London. This flashy five-piece has released three separate EPs in the last three years, totaling a meager seven songs between them. More importantly than the meager run-times, though, the band showed promise. They showed spunk and a knack for writing some rousing punk rock tunes, so naturally I thought that would be easily parlayed into a longer format.

saw these guys at reading festival. they released a load of pigeons at the end. tells you everything you need to know: quite funny but utter shite Blatant Sex Pistol ripoffs IMHO, the album lacks any originallity, and their live show is a complete lack luster affair - don't waste your time on the Towers of London. I'm so glad Donny Tourette walked off Big Brother before these guys could reach Ordinary Boys levels of popularity/being in the public consciousness. Fucking awful. I know it's off one of the old EPs, but Fuck It Up is undoubtedly one of the worst songs I've ever heard, and there is no way they could ever, ever redeem themselves for it. they had a 'fly on the wall' documentary series shown on Bravo here in the UK. They are a bunch of muppets, but very funny drunken muppets. shame their music is pretty bog standard i really hated this when i first heard it but its kind of grown on me. like the fungus your mom gave me i read that article too. i was reading spin magazine on break at work around a year ago and this band got rave reviews. seriously, i can't believe you ever thought this was going to be good. this band are a fucking joke in the UK. and what the fuck was that prick doing on big brother? never heard of them b4 then and never want to hear of them again Now THAT is the worst album cover I've seen. |
