On the followup to their first full-length on Alternative Tentacles, Report Suspicious Activity step up with an EP full of totally appealing, not completely bizarre juxtapositions.

does this have the song "i want revenge"?/ score goes to that song.. "Seriously, dude. You didn't mention Jawbox? Burning Airlines? Channels? You really gave short shrift to J. and Darren. Also, the best part of the S/T album was the awesome (better than original) cover of Articles of Faith's "False Security" - it was under the title "Patriot Act" if you don't know the song. Vocals sound like a muppet. awesome review! Yeah, but I wasn't reviewing the S/T album, was I? Seriously, dude. You didn't mention Jawbox? Burning Airlines? Channels? You really gave short shrift to J. and Darren. Also, the best part of the S/T album was the awesome (better than original) cover of Articles of Faith's "False Security" - it was under the title "Patriot Act" if you don't know the song. this sounds great. J. Robbins is quite a creature. i saw that black cat show they did back in december. yea, they definitely got a mean, muscular sound/stage presence to them but with a melodic edge to it. really good show. i haven't heard this new one yet but it sounds like another solid record. this EP is awesome until the last song hits. I got this at their show at the Black Cat, and it's definitely rad. I wish they played mroe often, as they are definitely muscular, melodic, and punch in the gut. Plus, yanno, J ROBBINS. Get on the trolly, kids. |
