The Riptides represent a class of band that's necessary to the overall health of the punk rock organism. Their peers may be numerous and quite similar at times, but they'll never be redundant. They're charming and likable but they'll never make celebrities of their members. Their records will be met warmly when they arrive, but they'll never be events. This type of band is vitally important for clearing out the toxins and impurities that build up in the genre. They're white blood cells, if you will.

a great band dedicated to screeching weasel-type punk rock mixed with slight hardcore overtones makes this album and this band kickass. realsed in Canada off an amazing label, this band is not one to forget about. great cd, great live show, too bad their drummer can't hold his booze vitally important for clearing out the toxins and impurities that build up in the genre. They're white blood cells, if you will. Love the label like I love my gun. Awesome band. Amazing record. Definitely worth checking out if you like Screeching Weasel or The Queers. good live band Good review. I especially agree with you comments about how you have to listen to this as an album and not a bunch of singles. While I like each song on its own, this album really shines when you listen to it in its entirety. I like every song but Red Dawn I LOVE the Riptides!!!!!! Score is for Red Scare giving us outstanding Ramones-core bands. this album sucks ass. i want my money back. This album is great! |
