No Risk is not at the epitome of proficiency, nor organization regarding their raw, rather Bigwig-influenced sound, but The Great Demise isn't half-bad considering.

I just reviewed the CD and it is pretty good. Come to punk rock review to see thought out reviews. Not this emo loving shit. I fucked up my last post on the score. I thought I chose 4 stars, not 4 out of 10. (that system is overly confusing, why not just put the stars in the drop down menu. The reviewer is fucking retarded. They are a punk band! They're not going to have a studio produced sound, especially when they recorded it themselves. Personally, I think it punk the way it's supposed to be, raw, edgy, & with attitude. - Fuck the world - Jonny Taint I have to disagree with Brian. With all the bullshit fashioncore punk music out there, this ep is a breathe of fresh air that screams of conviction. Sure there are a couple of rare spots that could be slightly tighter, but considering the shoestring budget and cutting it in only three days, I'd say fuck picking on small details. This is punk anyways. The lyrics and message, of songs like Soundtrack of Our Generation, Paper Jesus, and Whores and Heroes, alone deserve more than a two and half rating. No comments? |
