Los CreepersCity Streets (2006)Smelvis Reviewer Rating: Contributed by: GlassPipeMurder (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on May 8th 2007
With the recent release of Crimescene Records' L.A.’s Most Wanted sampler compilation featuring the Briggs, Throw Rag, Left Alone, Madcap, Buck-O-Nine, U.S. Bombs, the Aggrolites and a slew of other great bands, Los Creepers were one of the few who I didn’t recognize. So I’ll consider them cool by association.

whoever thinks this is Oi needs to fucking die haha, i just happened to see it when I was looking at my Briggs review after I noticed it was on their myspace. Yeah, I probably did...I dunno, I still like catchy melodies and pop songwriting, but Oi! is pretty stupid, generally. Some of it can be really catchy, but mostly it's crap. Why did you bother looking through comments I've written for inconsistencies anyway? Lord knows that I flip-flop on pointless internet bullshit all the time. If you had talked to me like 3 years ago, I prob. would have said Ted Leo and Elvis Costello sucked, and that Discharge wasn't punk because of the guitar solos...although I wasn't posting on this site at the time...uhhh...brain hurts. And Feeding5000, didn't you also say that I've outgrown this kind of punk, and I've always thought that Oi! was for idiots, anyway in the Briggs review? these guys should be ashamed of themselves for ripping off Los Crudos' band name. cock sparrer was incredibly poppy. they had some of the catchiest melodies in punk. this album doesn't sound like pop-punk at all in my opinion. Is it just me, or is all street punk poppy and boring? Because I've heard people describe these bands with 40-foot mohawks as "hardcore", but all I've heard is pop-punk with bad (read: worse than pop-punk) lyrics and fake British accents. What happened to the days when you could be a street punk band just by playing "Runnin' Riot" or "Oi Oi Oi" six times in a row? this record is really damn good, they mix in a small bit of rockabilly now and then too i guess | Features
