Graf Orlock calls themselves “cinema grind,” and if that term doesn’t make sense at first, it will once you’ve heard how many movie samples they’ve crammed onto Destination Time Yesterday. Seriously, they’ve probably set some kind of record here for most movie clips on a single record. These guys really like action movies, and they combine their love of film with technical, grind-influenced hardcore kind of like Tower of Rome or the Great Redneck Hope. They’re completely ridiculous, but I mean that in the best way possible.

This band rules, this album rules....if you disagree, you have a serious problem with stuff that rules in general!!! What the hell are we supposed to use man ... harsh language? Thank fuck! I downloaded a MP3 of these guys ages ago and then forgot what they were called. This shit is awesome. haha good that you found the real link, i coulda sworn the name was something weird. i shouldve checked on it-- but yeah ghostlimb fucking rules, and theyre more of my style than gorlock is I just checked out that Ghostlim band, fucking sweet! The link you posted doesn't work but I tried this and then it was my bitch - www.myspace.com/ghostlimb great fucking band. jason is also in Ghostlimb, which is another band i highly recommend. awesome cd, lot of sampling but if you're into movies like me you won't mind them because they're from classic movies and add a little humor in there with the grindcore their new album, Destination Time: Tomorrow, is one of the best things i've heard this year. they just keep getting better with every release. I think this band is absoulety fucking amazing! I have all of their releases and they just keep getting better. Their Grey Skull split was all Total Recall, their LP was an amalgamation of movies (Predator, Indiana Jones, Terminator 2, Robocop, From Dusk Till Dawn) and the new EP which I assumed you were reviewing (came out last month, as opposed to this cd that was released last year) is the best thing they've released, and that includes an instrumental play-along w/Jurassic Park theme song. I never heard of Cinema-Grind before this band, but goddamn, Usurp's got nothing on these guys. Wait, Usurp Synapse was still amazing though. Poce. |
