During many long hours spent at work, I often pass the time wandering aimlessly about MySpace, clicking on bands and weird-looking people. A few days ago I found myself wondering what the A.K.A.s were up to and if they’d found a new record label yet. No luck there, but I noticed the Pink Spiders were in their “top friends” and thought it was a good time to check out a band I’d been hearing about for quite a while. The songs I heard on the page were much better than I expected, so when my girlfriend came to pick me up, I asked her if she’d heard the Pink Spiders. To this and my sheer amazement, she opened up the center console of her car and produced Teenage Graffiti, the only CD I’ve seen her with in the six months we’ve been dating.

http://www.punknews.org/review/2999 Fuck this band- go listen to the Exploding Hearts instead.... It should be noted that all the tracks he said were good were from their previous album "Hot Pink", which was mediocre. These guys are from my hometown, and everyone here hates them because they are dicks. And they are. But that's shouldn't reflect how you view their music. Hot Pink was a pretty good album, and their best stuff came off their first album "...are taking over". It still had the same poppy feel, but was much more raw. If you like the track mentioned here, go get "Hot Pink", and if you dig that, Definitely go get "...are taking over", on vinyl if you can. Way to drop your GF in there so you look cool blacklung. this band is awesome. the pink razors however left me high and dry. i don't think i made it 3 songsi nto their album before giving up and putting something better in I pity anyone that would buy this album by mistake because they confused the Pink Razors for this band.
