It's hard to define what qualities secure a band's position on Alternative Tentacles. The most successful independent labels tend to stick to a niche audience, appealing directly to the people who snatch up the label's newest releases based on the pedigree they've curated. But Mr. Biafra's life's work tends to appeal to genre-modding bands whose music is generally forward-thinking and not quite easily approachable.

A NEW PUNK BAND WITH AN OLD-SCHOOL FEEL!!! The vocal effects are what make the album. He sings without them, and it sounds awesome, but the band didn't want to just be a rehash of The Fleshies. Sorry, the vocals absolutely kill this album. It's great but it seems almost as if the band is afraid to just be up front and their sound is masked behind tons of effects. They're talented as hell but I can't listen to this for more than one song. I like the cover art a lot. | Features
