The Sidekicks follow up their full-length of last year, So Long, Soggy Dog, with this four-song 7" for pop-punk aficionados Whoa Oh Records. Sam is another dedication to a beloved pet dog of the same name that passed on at one point or another. Though one of the only hints you had from the previous release was the title, a closeup of the seemingly lovable mutt's face with a drawn-on halo on the back cover here gives a face to the name.

This EP is amazing. yeah i've heard of this band before. I don't get them. ya know? i just really don't get them. And I forget the 5 stars. . . I love them. I can't get enough of this band. Love this 7". This record, and this band are awesome!! Definitely suggest picking this up. I listen to both this and So Long, Soggy Dog every single day, sometimes twice each, and I don't think I'll ever get sick of it. They're just the perfect band for me - vocally, musically and very much lyrically as well. Most of the lyrics coincide quite well with philosophy, whether purposely or not, and music and philosophy are the two most important things in the world to me. |
