You can tell by the lineup that this was one of those diverse bills that are rarely met with appreciation and anticipation. Not to be a cynic, but I sorely doubt anyone besides me at the Crazy Donkey that night was anticipating the three main openers instead of headliners Envy on the Coast.

There are lots of smaller venues in Long Island, but if a well established band (who aren't big enough to play Jones Beach or the Coliseum) comes into town, it is almost a given they are playing the Donkey these days. PersonL are super good live. Soo good. Soo young. Soo sexy. Are there ANY other venues on long island besides the Crazy Donkey? I've been there once and I didn't really like it. Kickass mozzarella sticks though. I don't understand the hatred for Envy On The Coast. They are one of the more talented up-and-comers in the scene right now; they can play the fuck out of their instruments, have a great singer (who, yes, apes Daryl Palumbo, but there are far, far worse singers to ape) and write surprisingly personal, relatable lyrics. the new this is hell / nightmare of you split is pretty sweet I would love to see CiS but as per any decent band that tours Australia they somehow overlook New Zealand - Come on!!! Who opens and closes their set with new songs? Crime in Stereo is sweet. I cant even believe you went for these bands.... | Features
