Tiger Army / Nekromantixlive in Chicago (2002)Hellcat Records Reviewer Rating: Contributed by: Moldy (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on March 3rd 2002
On Saturday I went to the long awaited and struggling Punk vs. Psychos tour. For those who are in the dark about this tour, Lars Fredriksen and his Bastards were supposed to headline this tour along with Tiger Army and Nekromantix and the Distillers are supposed to join up later. Well Lars hurt his back, according to Nick 13 of Tiger Army he is in a back brace right now, and had to cancel. Their were rumors of U.S. Bombs replacing him, but they are in the studio now, so they also couldn't play. Tiger Army and Nekromantix are still touring, and the Distillers and Suicide Machines are still joining them later on this month. From what I had been hearing it sounded like this tour was in trouble with people not coming because Lars was no longer on the bill, this could not be further from the truth. The crowd at this show was huge, and were providing insane pits and were definitely into the music. Please login or register to post comments. What are the benefits of having a Punknews.org account?
Dude, this is a reviews site, not a news site.... uhh.. wait a second.. This tour is no longer being billed as the Punks vs. Pyschos tour. It is just a Tiger Army/Nekromantix tour with the Distillers joining them somewhere in the middle. The information on that change can probably be found on the Tiger Army site, and if it's not there go to my site it's listed on the Headlines page. just went and saw the punks vs. psychos tour in oklahoma city. the sound levels at the club (the green door) were a little off. couldn't hear vocals worth shit, until the distillers came on. damn fun show. catch it. it was worth the drive from dallas. "First of all the "Christian country song" that was spoken of is Hank Williams Sr, and they have played that before every single show I have seen them play." 10 dollars!!!! Cry me a fucking river. First of all the "Christian country song" that was spoken of is Hank Williams Sr, and they have played that before every single show I have seen them play. Second, the fact that Tiger Army would have "converted" people into psychos is ridiculous considering Nekromantix have been around since 1989!!! Tiger Army is a good American psychobilly band, but Nick's guitar skill is incompetant at best and they sound much better on the albums. It's just sad that people base their knowledge of psycho on one popular American psycho band. (Why not check out Demented Are Go or Mad Sin instead?!!) Too bad you weren't in Philadelphia for the Tiger Army show. You could have spent ten bucks to get in, bought a t-shirt, only to be told later that Tiger Army wasn't playing, without any explanation! WHAT A FUCKING RIP-OFF! $10.00 for two bands, and I didn't even get to see Tiger Army! What the fuck? I should have known that a band on a label subsidized by Epi-crap would pull this kind of shit! Great review, i will be @ the black cat tonight in dc and im sure tiger army will put on a brilliant show as usual-oldpunker- that might be it, i really have no idea what the song is called, i just know its rod stewert i was just taking a guess |

Just to answer the earlier questions, the Rod Stewart song is Maggie May.
