I've ignored the Measure's playful pop-punk for far too long. Lauren Measure's vocals always gave me this idea that the band somehow adapted the Plan-It-X sound to a full-on, inspired pop-punk sound, but one I couldn't really get into for whatever reason. Not like intentionally or whatever, but it's just how it sounded to me. Anyway, point being, Songs About People...and Fruit 'n Shit is a pretty bang-up job. I swear I'm not suddenly giving a shit because Mikey Erg is an official member.

Hnnnngh. also, what are you guys talking about "mikey ergs" songs? "the moment that you said yes" is a cover song. I agree with the reviewer. I was never really able to get into any ot this band's previous releases. I really like this record though. The songs seem much better. i back new brunswick bands hard...but this band sucks i meant the mikey erg songs dude. "honestly, the mike songs drag this down." Scotty, you have failed. Listen to "Union Pool," "The Moment That You Said Yes," and "The Revisionist" and get back to me. Not normally into this kind of stuff but I like some of their songs. I like girls voice. good people... shitty band I've tried so hard to get into this band and it just won't work for me...Best Mikey band is The Unloveables by far. This wasn't reviewed yet? Weird. Good band, good release. ashtraymonument: totally agreed honestly, the mike songs drag this down. Shit yeah! This might be the best thing they've put out so far. My cat loves it. Winners all around! Sadly underrated group. Great music. i love this record. one of my favorite Measure releases |
