Reel Big Fish / The English Beatlive in Dallas (2009)Rock Ridge Music Reviewer Rating: Contributed by: thegimper (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on July 31st 2009
Upon entering the Palladium I made a quick dash to the bar to separate myself from the presumably underage crowd. I ordered my beer and took a survey of the crowd. At most ska shows I can push my way to the front because I’m taller than most, but I was surrounded by an odd batch of giants. Where did they come from? I also noticed that there was an usual number of cute girls and wondered where all of them were in Oklahoma. I quickly remembered, “Oh yeah, high school.”

I saw this show and it was great. I went to see Reel Big Fish and was pleased with their performance. However, this show made me a HUGE fan of The English Beat. I had never even really heard of them before the show but I became a fan instantly. I went out and bought up all of their albums I could find the next day! They are now one of my favorite bands! I will be seeing them live in Las Vegas when they perform at The Crown Theater(http://www.thecrownvegas.com) on July 27 alongside Squeeze (who I am also a fan of). who the hell are all these posters? necktattoo would have to be a troll, right youse guys? I mean... it's like... come on. how old this made me feel. rating here is for my stupidity rating is for how this made me feel to read this. and yes, brown eyed girl is a van morrison tune. shoot yourself in the head. brown eyed girl isn't a lagwagon song, lagwagon covered it from van morrison, i think. i know it isn't a original lagwagon song glad to see they covered Lagwagon's Brown Eyed Girl the score is for you going out and not bothering everyone on the org for a night. na i'm just kidding dude your alright, but i don't like ska. a guy i know was the english beat's keyboard player for a few years "A panic rushed over me as I realized I had minimal room to skank." man, The English Beat should NOT be opening for Reel Big Fish. Score is for scrobbling Classics of Love while meandering drunk through the local Barnes & Noble. score is for finally getting rid of those fat carpetmunchers lintsay and angiepants. | Features
