While Death Threat may come from Connecticut, they play New York Hardcore like they were born and raised in the Bronx. Death Threat is easily one of the most urgent and ferocious bands under the current label of hardcore. While this band plays traditional hardcore that reminds one of the heydays of Cro Mags and Agnostic Front, there seems to be some growth and development outside of the mindless and simplistic brand of hardcore. Some of this growth comes from a very tight playing sound, that even on disc, makes this band sound alive, like they are playing right in front of you. Please login or register to post comments. whatt? agnostic front in early 80's was old school NYHC cause for alarm/victim in pain practically started nyhc. After that they got mad oish and shit and now with another voice its generic new school NYHC with a voice like EVERYYYY other nyhc singer at their right now i hatee another voice but cause for alarm/victim in pain is un-fuckin-touchable ahh nice sounds.....but is there 1 or 2 singers? and Agnostic front arent playing metal anymore but there stuff in the early 80s is gold and if u havent heard it..go and listen. They went metal after that in the mid 80s tho Death Threat is a great band. HARDCORE LIVES!!!! With bands like this, Striking Distance, Nerve Agents, and Death By Stereo. Umm, there is definitely only one singer. This band rules. Thanks for trying. Get into it. i haven't heard this record yet but it should be good from the soundclips I heard from lambgoat and the mp3 on this site. for those that didn't know, agnostic front went metal in the mid-1980s while catching on with the "crossover" trend. Yeah, if you ask me Agnostic Front are playing a more Oi! brand of hardcore than ever. Definately not metal. These guys are from my home state, and they are representing well-oldpunker- when did agnostic front go metal? not a problem, i didnt know that, but i am looking forward to getting my ass kicked by them on may 7 with American Nightmare in iowa city. HAHAHAAHA Holy shit man.... one glaring mistake. Death Threat most definately has ONE singer... Aaron... with two distinct tones. You should do more research, and you can't fully appreciate this band until they have kicked your ass live, something you obviously havn't done. Please, dont take offense to this minor correction either. |
