Music plays such a pivotal role in Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Scott Pilgrim books that it’s just as important to Edgar Wright’s film adaptation as proper casting and plot points. In a way, it’s even more important. We can debate if Michael Cera was miscast or not as the title character (personally, I think he succeeds), but you can’t really debate if the music was appropriate or not for Pilgrim’s quest to defeat the seven evil exes of his love interest Ramona and win her heart. Either he listens to Plumtree or he doesn't. Luckily, the tunes O’Malley, Wright and executive music producer Nigel Godrich assembled are amazing.

Bitchin movie, bitchin soundtrack. I was also bummed about the lack of Pumpkins even while having a chapter called The Infinite Sadness. The bands in the movie sounded great, I was really impressed that they made them seem like legitimate indie bands (except for Demonhead, obviously, as they were the sellouts). "Is the "Anthem for a 17 Year Old Girl" version the same one from YFIIP or is it a new recording?" Game OST >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> movie OST I'd rather hear Anamanaguchi's soundtrack from the Scott Pilgrim video game. Is the "Anthem for a 17 Year Old Girl" version the same one from YFIIP or is it a new recording? This soundtrack is rad as hell. Definitely need to get my hands on more Blood Red Shoes. And "Anthems for a Seventeen-Year-Old Girl" is easily one of my new favorite songs (because I'm behind the times, I know that "You Forgot it in People" is so 2003). clash at demonhead was as sweet nes game The movie is pretty good, as well as the graphic novels. The soundtrack is a good companion piece, not great, but worth listening too. Great soundtrack. The Bluetones have been a semi-guilty pleasure of mine for well over a decade now. The "people under 25" demographic is stoked. the kid's haircut is terrible. I should add that “Anthems for a Seventeen Year Old Girl" is my favorite song ever. Movie is really good. Soundtrack is really good. Chad - Who said he was? No seriously, that kind of frightens me. i've heard the movie is great. soundtrack doesn't look that appealing though. Michael Cera is overrated and IS NOT the new John Cusack. The mere sight of this film makes me want to hit children, but Plumtree was pretty cool. Turns out Nova Scotia had a purpose after all! This movie was so good. Haven't actually listened to the soundtrack, but the music in the movie was amazing. | Features
