Take the reckless intensity of Black Flag, the breakneck speed of Minor Threat and the brilliant musical structures of early Adolescents. Now throw it all in a pot, set that shit on fire and let it explode in a blaze of glory. Your end result would be The Mistake by a little-known band called Bullet Treatment. If you aren't already familiar, Bullet Treatment is the brainchild of mainstay guitarist Chuck “D.C.” Dietrich. The rest of the band consists of over 20 rotating members from acts including Rise Against, Suicidal Tendencies and the Bronx. Clocking in at 23 minutes, Bullet Treatment packs quite a punch with its second studio album.

Awesome Hardcore Punk. Too bad this was the only album they got their act together. DEFINITELY worth a listen! AGREED with the writer!!!! Ive been on and off this site for more than a couple years and Ive said it time and time again, this band is the best punk band of the last twenty years. Ok so fine they're not technically a band but Chuck is pure genius and figured out a way to bring back that old school punk rock while sounding totally fresh. He clearly has an eye for talent (notice all the guys he gets to play on his records). My favs songs are "Grindstone", "Coke Nose", & the highly overlooked "Friday Night". Hopefully they'll try it again some day with this the "classic" lineup. a Masterpiece. that present being that this review actually got published. :D BEST 21ST BIRTHDAY PRESENT.......EVER! 'already dead' is the pinnacle of rock. best bullet treatment lineup, largely thanks to matt. good album. grindstone is a phenomenal song. |
