Vinyl File: New release info - win a Hot Water Music test/tour pressing

You're the lucky reader of the 33rd edition of the Punknews.org Vinyl File. This column aims to keep you informed with upcoming releases as well as spotlighting interesting releases, your favorite bands' own collections and labels with a history of vinyl releases worth talking about.
This week we're way stoked to be offering one reader a chance to own a very special test pressing of Hot Water Music's latest collection, Til the Wheels Fall Off, which is out now on No Idea Records. It has a special red version of the tour pressing cover and is limited 1 of 20. Not only that, it also comes with a poster signed by the band.

First things first, we've got a test press to give away. Build a Nation, The latest album from hardcore legends Bad Brains is out of print on vinyl now, but is about to be released as a 7" box set through Megaforce Records. The set will feature four records yellow, red, green and picture disc). You can order the set here.

Barsuk Records will be handling the vinyl release for Death Cab for Cutie's new record, Narrow Stairs. There is no word yet on whether there will be a pre-order for the record or if the release will be limited.

Fat Wreck Chords is taking pre-orders for No Use for a Name's Feel Good Record of the Year. The Fat website doesn't mention whether the release will have a limited run on colored vinyl like previous releases or whether the label will be taking a new direction and only issuing black vinyl. The label has also put up for sale the latest edition of their Classic Albums series. 550 copies of Leche Con Carne are now on sale and can be ordered here.

Teenage Bottlerocket has a new live record with them on tour. Live in '06 might look like a bootleg and sound like a bootleg, but it's the real deal. Although the limited red vinyl copies are sold out, they still have black copies available on the tour.

Fifth Element Records is now taking pre-orders for Atmosphere's new record, When Life Gives You Lemon, Paint That Shit Gold. The limited edition record comes on yellow vinyl in a "gold metallic" jacket and is accompanied by a bonus DVD. You can place your order here.

Avalanche Records will start taking pre-orders for a number of Jesu records in April. Pale Sketches and Heart Ache are expected to ship in May. Also coming up from Avalanche is a vinyl version of Afar by Final.

Does your record collection need a boost? Do you have an extra $3,000,000 stashed under your mattress? If you answered yes to both of these questions, you might want to consider picking up this lot on sale over at eBay.

Deep Elm is selling metal mother discs of Appleseed Cast's The End of the Ring Wars. If you'd rather own a regular copy of the record, don't sweat it. Goodcore Records has a special going on where the album is being discounted by 33% with all profits being split between two charities - Save the Music and Save Darfur. Great record, great cause.

Southern Lord is selling Like, Love, Lust and Open Halls of the Soul, from Jesse Sykes & the Sweet Hereafter. This is the third album from Jesse Sykes, who is known for her vocal contributions to the Sun 0)))/Boris track "the Sinking Belle." Only 300 copies of the 2xLP can be purchased at Southern Lord's website.

Paulson's All at Once has been pressed as a 2xLP through Cavity Records. The album is being pressed on red(/500), blue/green splatter(/350) and red/black haze(/150) vinyl.

Asian Man Records has run a new pressing of Get Better from Lemuria. This latest pressing includes 500 on pink/white sunburst vinyl and 500 on gold/silver sunburst.

Vampire Weekend will be celebrating Record Store Day on April 19 by releasing a 7" that will be available only at participating independent music retailers. The album will contain the album version of "A-Punk" on the a-side with a "rehearsal version" of "Oxford Comma" on the b-side. If you don't live anywhere near a participating independent record store, you will be able to order the record from the band's website.

Foxboro Hot Tubs, who are widely believed to be Green Day in disguise, have released a 7" containing the songs "Mother Mary" and "She's A Saint Not A Celebrity." It's available at Interpunk through Reprise Records.
