The Dopamines join Screeching Weasel as new backing band

In a surprise twist, Cincinnati, OH's The Dopamines has joined Screeching Weasel and will function as the legendary group's new backing band behind mercurial frontman Ben Weasel. Dopamines guitarist Jon Lewis had this to say about the move:

"Even with all the negative hype surrounding Screeching Weasel, we felt this was an opportunity we couldn't pass up. Ben's been cool to us so far, and we're just gonna take it one day at a time and do everything we can to support him and this new album.

At this point, we don't have much to lose as a band. It's not like Punknews.org gave our album the time of day anyway, which is all we ever wanted really. Associating ourselves with Screeching Weasel will hopefully be the kick in the ass those nerds need to take us seriously. Oh, and I've always wanted to play "Veronica Hates Me" live."

Calls to Mr. Weasel's Madison, WI compound went unreturned. Screeching Weasel released First World Manifesto earlier this year, while The Dopamines released Expect The Worst in 2010 to relative silence.

EDIT: APRIL FOOLS!
