My Chemical Romance to release CD/DVD "Life on the Murder Scene" next year

My Chemical Romance has announced plans to follow their successful major label debut, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge with a CD/DVD release called Life on the Murder Scene early next year.

The disc aims to document the past year, with the CD portion including rare tracks and demos and the DVD set to include videos, live performances, online content and a video diary. The album was originally scheduled for release on November 8th, 2005, but has been pushed back to 2006 as the band compiles more footage and additional content.

The band continues to tour extensively in support of Three Cheers, and is currently on their US headlining tour with Alkaline Trio and Reggie and the Full Effect. Following that, the band will head across the pond for another set of dates with Every Time I Die. After that trip completes, the band will visit Canada with Thrice.

This band sucks, they have voice overs and what not at the live shows. not true. unless they've changed things since april. and pretty much everything else you said is untrue. so you don't like any band that's on a major label? not one? because according to your argument, you have no respect for non-working major label bands. and what exactly is wrong about a band becoming successful? not every band wants to stay relatively anonymous and in the underground scene, and i'm pretty damn sure mcr wasn't planning on staying unknown if they had other possibilities. if you can find something that they said that says differently, please let me know.

i was thinking the same. and to add to your comment i think most bands would be into becoming even slightly successful. even the "tru punx" would be into that i think. more people to hear your messege, more money to be able to actually buy real food on tour instead of eating taco bell for every meal, as well as actually make a living from your music instead of having to go back to making 8 dollars an hour at kinkos or whatever. just my thought on it, which i'll admit has changed quite a bit in the last 10 years, when i was 18 i saw things a lot differntly and i think also work in venues with bands i've gotten a better perspective on what bands go through before they make it big if they make it at all. plus i have a soft spot for mcr because they could have gone the rock star route and hired a professional tour manager but instead they hired one of the guys i

you're right there is a certain amount of structure to any life, and no matter how "punk" rock a band is, or think they are, they are still in it to make money if they plan on touring. otherwise they would stay a local band where ever they are and never try to get out and tour. bands whether they admit it or not, if they are serious about the band anyway, want to make a decent living off their music. i'm not saying that everyone wants to be on mtv or anything like that but they want to at least be able to eek out a modest living off the music so they dont' have to file into the structure of a real job. i'll be honest, that is why i wouldn't mind getting into tour managing myself, kiss the 9 to 5 hell of working in an office goodbye. for the record i was talking about the unseen and casualties, though i don't really consider either to be punk bands in the sligh

honestly its been probably 8 years since i've listened to op ivy. something about growing up and changing musical tastes i would imagine. anyway, i didn't say suits, i said professional tour managers meaning older men or women who tour manage for a living and go out with bands like oar or something. anyway both of those bands are horrible and have nothing to do with punk. the ramones are/ were the only punk band. anything else was a pale imitation. and i'm sorry but i don't see bringing a virtual mall with you on tour, which both the unseens and casualities do, as being a punk thing to do. going to one of thier shows is being at a living hot topic display.

The band played a ton of shows. they actually played the house i'm living in currently a few years ago. Not to mention they drew over a hundred kids and then gave ALL the money, as in they played for free, to the touring bands that were also on the show - yea nice guys indeed. eh...I honestly liked this band for a while. Then I saw them live...bleh. Then I had to buy tickets to their show just to see Alkaline Trio...bleh again. Alk3 was great, but MCR seriously has some of the shittiest fans on earth. I left before they started playing. Gerard needs to get fat and drunk again and then maybe they won't be on my shit list anymore. And the cover for this is terrible.

man, i accompanied my friend to a mcr concert lastnight, i got in for free, so i went along. reggie was fun, but mcr was terrible, although they can get a whole arena singging along.... so we left. and the front man said fuck and mother fucker a lot, thats probobly why that other kids post defending mcr involved the words so much reggie played a cover of slayers raining blood. it was fantastic

OK, MCR is awesome, and if you don't like them, then NO ONE CARES!!!! So get a life and stop reading about things you hate. And I saw them in concert and they're fucking awesome. Alkaline trio SUCKS live, and reggie wasn't teh greatest either, but I didn't really pay attention. If you were that lame to not see how good mcr is live or in general, then grow some eyeballs and go cry in your rooms. I'm definately buying the dvd.

I have seen mcr twice and their live show has grown enormously better. This is an honest band and wether mtv wants to rape and whore them out doesnt change the merit of the music they have made which is amazing. Don't think I dont know what i am talking about I have fallowed the boys since their eyeball label release and they are very sincere with their art. There isnt anything but a strong love for what they are doing in this band. Everyone has bitched about how they are all just an aesthetic of black and red make up and ballerinas, but its expression and its also not your average "emo/alternate/whatever" style of video making. Most bands just put on something black and studded and have some random sad girl in their video, where as MCR takes an artistic vision driven from their sound and applies that to their video making.
