Less than Jake drummer and lyricist Vinnie has revealed some information about the band's upcoming 4-song EP, Absolution for Idiots and Addicts. The disc is due out in April and will precede the May release of their next full length, In With the Out Crowd.

The EP contains two songs which will be released on the full-length ("Overrated" and "Rest of My Life") and two songs exclusive to the EP("We the Uninspired" and "Negative Sides of Optomistic Eyes").

Vinnie has also launched a new blog on which is he documenting the band's current tour.

The new releases follow the band's 2003 Warner debut, Anthem. That album was followed by the B-Sides compilation, B is for B-Sides and DVD, A People's History of Less Than Jake, both released in 2004.
