My Chemical Romance recording with producer Rob Cavallo (Green Day)

My Chemical Romance are set to enter the studio with longtime Green Day producer Rob Cavallo on April 10th.

Cavallo has been behind the knobs for every Green Day record - with the sole exception of Warning - since 1994's Dookie and will be recording the follow up to MCR's breakthrough Warner debut, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge.

According to the band:

The songs are wicked. There's some really dark stuff, and some touches of Queen and the Doors. And there's some really experimental parts that sound a bit like System of a Down. But all of that is mixed with a big shot of My Chemical Romance.

While the album is still being written, Cavallo hints that the album will follow a concept and is tentatively titled The Rise and Fall of My Chemical Romance."

no. you're actually wrong. each album is made of concepts yes, but not every album has a consistent theme going through all of their songs like a concept album does. sure maybe too many bands try and make a concept album, but not every album is one

Rob Cavallo is awesome producer at least back in the day, he did wonders for many bands including the muffs, but this is pretty lame. Even lamer than the Jewel album he just produced

in fact, i've heard that his worl on that album resulted in the term "dear you guitar sound" which he uses to refer to a certain sound when recording.

Hey anyone seen that music video for pink? I saw it last night/morning on VH1, it kinda made me laugh. She had something along the lines of a kill all the hipsters shirt on. Then this girl threw up in a sink, cause I guess that was pinks way of making fun of preps? I dunno what the song was ( cause I had it on mute) but the video is (like I said before) kinda funny, so go find it if you want.

Well....I like MCR...and it seems like many of you don't. That's fine...this IS american after all...We all have opinions....sadly. And I'm guessing that this album is gonna suck. I mean after bands become famous they just write songs for the hell of it, and they don't make it sound good. They only want the money....I'll probally be able to leak this album like 2 months before it's out. I mean I got 'Desert Song' like one week after they finished it. Thats was back in 2004. Yeah, They've kept it hidden for 2 years. Any who...I dunno?

Yeah, I heard that the whole album is going to be like "Disenchanted" and 'The Desert Song"
Which obvously means that they've lost their punk beat, which is my favorite part about them. Oh well, I'm going to back to listening to Adien.

I really don't think that they care that the green day guy is helping them make an album, I think they're just doing it for a bigger fan base. I like My Chem, but I don't know...I think this is like going to be cut into an EP and it'll suck. 'Desert Song' and 'Disenchanted' are 2 tracks said to be on there. Let's just see if this album can hold up to what the fans want. Wait? The Doors? Wtf..? System of a Down? Dude, there newest album sounds like a mondonna cd. And I don't like this one bit.
