Lifetime officially posts "Airport Monday Morning" video

Even though you think you saw this video on January 11th when it was unceremoniously leaked to the internet, the final version of Lifetime's "Airport Monday Morning" is now available online.

Unlike the rough cut which first appeared, this completed video includes many other details that the band and director have worked on for the past few months. The song itself comes from their brand new Decaydance full length, Lifetime.

i second that motion.
when they were around the first time they were not that popular. it wasn't until after they broke up that everyone started dubbing them "influencial" and whatnot.

with that being said. i'm still going to thier show in toronto. although i'm going for the draft. and plan on leaving right after the draft finish.

Motions denied. I love Lifetime. I grew up in Jersey and went to VFW and basement shows because I knew someone who knew someone who liked a band playing. Word of mouth, shitty zines and college radio were the way bands got followings, and then Lifetime had broken up before Pitchfork or Punknews (or TRL). Whether or not you like this band isn't important. What is important is that you were given the chance to hear them. Probably because Mr. Wentz did some namedropping. And frankly, the Draft is opening for them, so chances are they like Lifetime, which is more than the Draft likes you.

I disagree. I was around in the early to mid-90's scene and Lifetime was extremely popular. Not only that, while every band was going their best Slayer/Integrity impression, Liifetime kept their catchy, harmonious sound, which influenced alot of bands later. That being said, it might have been better for them to regroup under a different name or something. Its just not the same Lifetime, but whatever.

if you were around in new jersey and into hardcore you knew who lifetime was wether you liked them or not. they were considered "big" at the time by diy hardcore band standards. they were in tons of zines and played lots of shows to good crowd response.

with that said, i do think though the only reason they are known outside of a few hundred aging hardcore kids was because saves the day was a rip-off of lifetime and you know how snowballs get.

lifetime were and most likely still are a bunch of guys not thinking their music would get anywhere. im pretty sure this comeback is as big a surprise to them as it is to everyone else.

i like the above comment very much. everyone here hates everything. nothing is good enough and nothing is worth the computer monitor it was written. get over yourselves and enjoy tunes for what they are. if you dont like lifetime, that sucks. but, the constant negative, shitty attutide is just irritating. you all seem to hate everyone. i only wish i could go see lifetime and the draft. who plays first - who fucking cares!!?? music is music, no matter the order.

Alright, so during in school suspension today we had a substitute. She was this incredible looking, cute as all hell- type. So I lean over to my lesbian friend and tell her to “check this broad out.”, and she gets all offended that I called her a broad. Because it’s sexist. And I guess it is, but you have to understand. She’s the kind of lady that makes you wish that you took up smoking as a hobby so you could pull that smooth little move where reach over all rico-suave-style and light her cigarette for her. As it stands though, I’d just look like an idiot struggling to work a lighter. I'm not even totally sure about the physics of a lighter. That said, I guess the whole point of lighting her cigarette is to show that you two have something in common. I mean, I could always just tell her to stop, since I found out awhile ago that some girls like being told what to do.

so, it was the next day and my return to life. at 5:00 am we had made for 1000 copies of the kaboom car and we planted them in every locker in the school. it was social chaos. the prince was indeed sad and we were indeed the social megazord.

you weren't allowed to get too crazy at the video taping because of the camera's around. But in between the shooting for airport the place was pretty crazy. they played all of jerseys best dancers and most of hello bastards and star 69. most songs twice. so it was a great time.

I saw them at the troubadour last January and it was insane, people were going nuts and they played a lot of old stuff, mainly older crowd. Then I saw them again last month at the troubadour again and this time it wasn't sold out and was much more mellow. Ari had to keep asking the crowd if stage diving was legal in california because no one was moving really. Played a lot of newer stuff, obviously because of the new album that just came out. And they played a total of 43 minutes, including an encore. This time there was still an older crowd but more younger kids than the previous show.

The energy in this video is nonexistent. Also, concert performance videos are fucking boring - no matter how small or intimate the venue is, a decent video still needs a narrative, or something else going on, otherwise it is just a repeat of what I could see them do on tour.

Don't crucify me as I am not a huge fan of the band, but SOD's Chop Suey video may be one of the best "concert performance video's" of all time. That and the BR "Generator" video with 20 ft. monitor divers.

That said, the reconsituted Lifetime are OK, nothing to get too worked up about though.
