Against Me! posts second "Making Of" video

Against Me! and their label have posted the second official clip from the DVD which is set to be packaged with the album. The highly anticipated major label debut for the band, New Wave is due out July 10, 2007.

Good motherfucking song, if you ask me. New Wave will be a satisfying album even though I don't think it can live up to the two years of hype leading up to it (and the hype that might follow, if it actually does catch an audience).

If you don't like Against Me! then don't listen to their fucking records. You're not going to change anyone's mind saying the typical bullshit, "they blow", "The fuckin suck!!!11" or "Against Me! is for 13 yr oldz".

Yes, they signed to a major, yes they tour with some shitty groups, and yes they used to espouse anarchist politics but who fucking cares! Doesn't anyone remember the line, "We're all hypocrites but you're a patriot..." ? Besides, all of you fucktards have Internet access in some way, shape, or form. I love his films. If he has an "agenda" or "overexaggerates," it's nothing compared to the overexaggeration and agendas used by those he opposes. Their agendas lead to murder.

I really enjoyed it, but you're right, it's horrendously depressing. At the same time you have to realize that it's obviously biased and things aren't as awesome as you think over in those other countries. For instance: yeah, France may have free medical care, but their public schools are crap (ESPECIALLY their public universities). Same goes for Britain--the free schooling there isn't that great either. True, for a fraction of the defense budget we could provide universal health care, but what does that mean for national security? I'm not trying to tear Moore's view down--far from it, I'm all for universal health care--but I'd just like to suggest it's not nearly as simple as Moore makes it look.

Believe me, when America spends more on defense then the closet top 14 nations in military expenditure combined ( ie nations such as the UK, China, Russia, France, etc). By diverting a small portion of that budget into national health care it wouldn't make that much of a difference. Furthermore how are such extremely expensive items such as ballistic missile submarines going to help prevent another terrorist attack? Furthermore the US has between 5000-9000 nuclear warheads, think of all the money being sent there. So believe me, there are ways you could trim the defense budget without seriously hampering the US’s defense capabilities.

I saw Against Me! last night, they played three new songs, two of which I already had heard. But they opened with Impact and did an encore of TSR, I Still Love You Julie and Baby I'm An Anarchist It's been 3 years since I saw them play any of those and I thought I'd never get to see that again, living in Australia and all.

Anyway, despite that everyone says the new songs are weak, etc, I am really looking forward to this record and I think it's going to be a lot stronger than Searching For A Former Clarity.

Blasting Against Me! is ridiculous. They made moves that they had to make to keep doing what they wanted to do. Part of their decision was based on what was safest and best for their fans, as well as for them. Never did any of those moves changes their personality or their ethics. They still sing about social and political issues because that's what matters to them. They changed their sound from record to record because they were growing as a band, and didn't want to get stale. The fact is each record is still great, they are good people, and this new record is not going to be an exception.

If you read all these comments from top to bottom you can see how crazy all of you are. Someone is calling them out for still singing about politics, and then right below someone is saying they need to stop singing about politics. They are being ragged on for re
