Hopesfall undergo lineup changes

Hopesfall vocalist Jay has announced via MySpace that the band recently dealt with line-up changes:

Some of you have been inquiring why we haven't been touring as of late. For the past few months we've made a major lineup change to tour our latest release "Magnetic North". After recording the new album a lack of desire to be on the road to support "Mag North" became apparent. We are all very proud of our accomplishments with this record. In assembling a new lineup my hopes are that we generate interest in a) the music my former band-mates and I created "Mag North" and b) the new material my current band-mates and I have begun to write. We have some exciting tours lined up including ventures w/ the junior varsity, the receiving end of sirens, and oceansize to name a few.

The band released Magnetic North in May.

This is sorta old news. My friend Cory Seals joined the band a while ago when they had their massive lineup change... I have known him for several years, as I used to be the publicist for his old band, Glory of This (Indianola Records). I was wondering when the band would acknowledge the lineup change, but it makes sense to do it now, as they had to get rehearsed for this tour. Kudos to them for being able to keep it under wraps for so long. The singer is the only leftover member from the Magnetic North recording. I can vouch for Cory though, he's a helluva guitarist.

yea i dont know if you know but i am good friends with this guy named Tom Gabel he is in this little band called Against Me! I mean it is no big deal and all I am just throwing it out there. he is a helluva singer and plays some guitar too. I am not sure if anyone has heard of Against Me! being that they are so underground and such.

That FUCKING sticker. People used to come into Pacific Sunwear asking for skate brand hats with New Era stickers on 'em because they were siiiiiiick. And today? It's still going. I don't know why.

These guys have a lot of nerve to keep touring under the name "Hopesfall" IMO. The only reason to do it is that you know you suck and won't be able to generate as much touring money as you would if you went under the "Hopesfall" name.

I think Christian bands go through so many more lineup changes than secular ones because their faith's adherents are so used to suspending any and all disbelief. When band's fanbase won't give a shit if every member is replaced there's less of an incentive to stick together for artistic or financial reasons. I know some very intelligent Jesus-lovers but they all seem to have difficulty in accepting and responding appropriately to change of any kind; books films music politics etc etc.
