that was a highly entertaining read. my favorite: Now many of you may being saying to yourselves, "but I love Jonny's voice" or "I've met him and he's nice, he can't be that bad." Well he is, and here is why.

I have no idea who these guys are but this is awesome.

Why would anyone even put up with half that shit, if it is true. It was a great read though. I had a brief experience with this type of shit from the singer of a formally good (or entertaining) Canadian punk band years ago.

Like others have said, I have no clue who this band is, but that read was awesome.

I've never heard of this band before this morning but I don't know how you guy can critisize their innovative songwriting style. I mean first the singer goes all high and is like WAAAAAAAA and then, possibly even another singer, is all yelly-screamy? Who's done that before? Like nobody. Thats innovation, kids.

Sadly this band is very popular here in San Jose
Their shows are always huge.
Hopefully the scene/emo kids can move their bangs enough to see through bullshit like this in the future.

hard drugs are no good on so many levels, and believe me i speak from experience. however, they usually make for one helluva entertaining frontman. my guess is this shitty band will get some sober, artistic-type singer and proceed to fade even more into obscurity, then seek out "johnny" in an effort to get him back in the band due to their new found level of bore and suck. he'll probably be dead or in jail by then though...

I wish I would have listened to the music before reading that whole thing. I expected a good singer. They could easily call that kid who was kicked out of From First To Last and nobody would ever know the difference. This shit sucks.

How could this stuff all be true in the first place? Multiple $200 ticket? Letting another member quit rather than Johnny? Another band member's parents putting up with that kind of behavior?

Making up lyrics to their album based on whatever shit Johhny sputtered out in a recording session?

It sounds like someone is writing a spoof to me. If this is true, they were certainly a bit "flexible" on the facts IMO.

It sucks what happened to Johnny. I personally think that DGD was amazing with Johnny. But things happen.

Fellow Rise Records member Emarosa's lead singer Chris dropped out because he was engaged. His fiance lives in Florida while Emarosa is based in Lexington, Kentucky.

Upon the news of Johnny being kicked out of DGD, a member of Emarosa invited him to be in the band to replace Chris.

Just in case anyone is interested.

Johnny has an AMAZING voice. DGD was a really good band. The music is great. It sucks that Johnny was kicked out, cause I would love to hear him sing the old Dance Gavin Dance songs. But now he is in Emarosa, so it's all good. At least I still get to hear that amazing voice of his. He's also in the song "Pueblo Cicada" by Lower Definition. You guys should download that song, and hear him sing. I love Johnny's voice.
