The Hives have announced a headlining tour next month with support from The Donnas. Both bands are supporting new releases, with the Donnas new record Bitchin' and the Hives supporting The Black and White Album.

Strange. I remember The Donnas had the record release show for Turn 21 at The Fillmore and it was sold out, now they're the support. Still, damn it if I don't love The Hives something fierce and the new album is pretty tight.

it took a few listens for me to warm up to the record, but that's only because i wanted tyrannosaurus hives part II. there are some great songs on the new album.

I'm just listening to the Black & White album right now. I waited until I could find a used copy, which I was sure wouldn't be long... It's got some really great, catchy songs with great choruses, but they also take some left turns with songs that aren't so good... Overall, the best thing would've been to trim it down to the usual 30 minutes and release those other tracks as B-sides... Barely Legal is still my favourite Hives album.

2002 ruled, Bush was just beginning to dig us into unbelievable debt, we hadn't blown all the post 9/11 sympathy, we hadn't gone to Iraq yet.
