Millencolin posts new song, artwork, album name

Millencolin have set a European release date, title and posted the first song from their upcoming album. The record is titled Machine 15 and is due out April 07, 2008. (artwork here)

The album is the follow up to 2005's Kingwood. Since Kingwood, members of the band have been involved in other projects including Nikola Sarcevic's solo project and Mathias working on Franky Lee.

I can't seem to hear the entire song via their website (since i can't get to myspace at work). The first 20s sounds great though. I"ll have to check it out at home. Love these guys.

I can pick like 12 songs from this band, compile them together, and make an awesome album.... but the other, I don't know, 100 songs are kind of boring.

I still love this band. Actually, I really love bands that remind me of my youth skateboarding (very, very badly) with my friends. Skate punk in general. But the old style. Not like AWS. I don't really see how they're skate-punk. They don't sound like any Epi-Fat stuff.

Nah. I quit in early high school. I'm 20 now. I was never a good skater, though. I was mainly the cameraman. But I had fun times, and I just love the whole cliche skate scene.

same here im 20 and i started skating again hardcore in college, i cant kickflip but i can heelflip! im more of a stairs and rails "thrasher" type skater i guess.

Swingin' Utters 'Five Lessons Learned' is a great road trip album - but you'd have to pick 9 songs cuz there's like 15 songs on it

It's okay. Kingwood was my second favorite album of 2006, so this song alone means the new one will be a step down for me, but I'm still psyched. If the rest of this album is to this song what Build And Burn is to Sarah's Game, or New Maps Of Hell was to Honest Goodbye (or whatever the title was), that'd be cool.

Yeah I wouldn't want the whole album to sound like that but it almost definitely won't. And by itself, after one listen, I'd say that song is pretty OK at least.

I couldn't get into Kingwood as much but I think I'm the only one who really liked Home from Home

I very much liked Home From Home as well. I firmly believe that Kingwood>Home From Home>Pennybridge Pioneers.

I dunno I just thought there was some intangible missing from Kingwood, it definitely wasn't bad I just didn't feel compelled to listen to it that much.

Normally everyone talks about how much they dislike Home from Home, glad to see I'm not alone.

I like Home from Home and I listened to Kingwood for a fair while but nothing really sticks out as a great song apart from "Moosemans jukebox" so I sold it. It's okay but they can do better.

Caution and No Division are my favourite Hot Water records, so I'll of course say Caution. At least over here in Germany all the old Epitaph records (2005 and older) are for sale for 10€, so it's also not that expensive.

fuel for the hate game is epic. caution is short range powerhouse. buy caution first, ıt's easy to get into.

ıhhh, ı like this song. production is healty and nicola always makes the difference somehow.

I'm not sure "poppy" is the right word. Millencolin have always been a little poppy. This is...syrupy. It's not bad, per se...it's just not what I want from new Millencolin. The self-referential lyrics I could take or leave.

...Also english is not my primary language but ı spot some old song references in this song; like "finger's crossed", "losing must" it can be golden days kind of ilusion though, that millencolin was king then, brett is still the man, no global warning, no media teror, just couple of cold beers...

I'm not really digging the whole referencing older songs throughout the new song thing. But i'll always have a soft spot for Millencolin because they were my original gateway band back in 7th grade, if not for them i might still be listening to Korn and Limp Biskit.
