Break-ups: Dear Tonight (2003-2008)

Brooklyn melodic hardcore outfit Dear Tonight have called it quits after 5 years. The band announced the split this morning via MySpace but offered no further explanation. Details on a final show is expected soon.

The band released the EP These Are Wires on Slave Union Records in 2005, and a full-length We're Not Men through Red Leader Records in 2007.

young hearts is alright. i really wanted to order the demo, but i was expecting to see them up in allston with sakes alive!! a couple weeks ago. and that show ended up getting cancelled. i still like dear tonight better.

Sakes Alive!! had van issues and basically their whole weekend tour fell apart. YH still played the Brooklyn show but SA!! had to cancel that one too. sucks, I hope to see them soon.

I love these dudes with all my heart and it's been a great run for them. Sad to see them go but I know they'll move on to bigger and better things. I'll definitely be at the last show for certain.

This thread not having the obligatory sandwich comment leads me to believe I erred in not checking these guys out. I'll have to do when I'm not working 14 hours a day (and wasting time reading punknews when I should be working on reports to get my ass out of here quicker).
