New Music Roundup: These Green Eyes, Fires at Night, Olivia AD, Hollerado

New Haven, CT's These Green Eyes have posted a new song called "Sucker Punch" on their MySpace page. You can also listen to a brevy of their back catalog while you're there.

Minneapolis, MN based Fires at Night have posted two songs from their upcoming EP, Right Back Where We Started. The album was produced by Matt Broadbent (Somerset), and is due for a summer 2008 release.

Oslo, Norway's Olivia A.D. have posted a cover of The Draft's "Lo Zee Rose" to their MySpace page. They have plenty of original material available for listening as well.

Manotick, Montreal's Hollerado have just released a video of their new song "Americanarama" featuring Dave Foley from Kids In the Hall, probably because he's Canadian too. The song is available on the band's MySpace page.

Couldn't afford ticket, but I did see them the time before. My sister said the last tour was amazing. I hope they revive the TV show. It blows all other sketch shows (other than UCB) out of the water.

Agreed. UCB is amazing. I missed seeing the them the last time I was in NYC. That show was one of the few that I actually looked forward to through the week. Supercool and Thunderball made me piss myself. So many classics.

I also loved the Kids in the Hall, the one where the devil goes to stop the kid from forming a band (and he can't even play guitar) is fucking great. USELESS!!!!!!

So good, wish we could have gotten one more season out of them instead of shit like Mind of Mencia.

How has Carlos Mencia thrived while UCB, one of the five greatest things ever broadcast on TV including the moon landing, languished? I didn't even know the second season had been released until three days after. I had just given up hope of it ever coming out.

Can't wait for the third season. Thunderball is the best episode ("I was banned from shark rodeos after refusing to wear the cowardly chain mail!"), and the Mafia sperm king is up there. God, and fucking Santa Liquer. The third season might be the best.

dude you have to watch this movie called The Wrong Guy. it's got dave foley and jennifer tilly in it, written by foley and a couple of the simpsons writers. super-underrated comedy from about 10-12 years ago.

also it's got an extended kevin mcdonald cameo in it! semi-KITH reunion! and it also has cameos by uhh....the.....barenaked ladies :( but don't let that stop you from watching it. it's such a great movie.

That movie is fucking awesome. I thought it was going to suck, and I totally enjoyed it. Good call man, I haven't thought about that thing in a while.

Thinking about it... and completely unrelated, I need to watch 'Cabin Boy' again.
