Recess Records launches Recess Japan

Established punk label Recess Records has announced the formation of Recess Japan. From the label's website:

I am excited as all hell to announce the fetal beginnings of Recess Japan! The whole idea was to offer downloads only of the many great bands that we have crossed paths with while touring Japan. But the label , Underground Government , ended up putting The Underground Railroad to Candyland - Bird Roughs CD/DVD out in Japan with the Recess Japan logo on it. So we might as well try to get some physical media out too here & there. Still, the focus remains on downloads…

The label is currently working on the re-issue of Screaching Weasel's Boogada Boogada Boogada.

reissue of boogada boogada boogada on recess? didn't asian man records rerelease that? if they haven't already, shouldn't they be?

This is going to be a huge venture. As Japanese schools have longer years and are far more strict recess is much more prized than it is here in America.
Hopefully, they can get in on trading some Pokemon cards and the sale of school girl panties.

I don't know that he's an elitist so much as he has limited funds and his own way of doing things that at times can be infuriating but overall has always been okay to me.

I hate rain. I just drove by the Lyceum in alexandria, pretty sure it got nailed by Lightning.

In Alexandria's Lyceum history museum, Bob Schurk was sitting at his desk not far from where a covered walkway outside collapsed under the weight of a fallen tree. He said he listened to the rain hit the steel roof when the violence of the storm became apparent.

"I heard a very, very, very loud thunder clap. The loudest of my life," Schurk said. "And right after that thunder clap, I heard a very loud thud and the building shook." He said he looked outside to see a tree had landed on one side of the wooden covering of the 40-foot walkway and caused the entire length of the covering and the columns that supported it to fall.

"It was like dominos," said Schurk, the building's facilities coordinator. The tree, he added, is named "tree of heaven."

i heard word that it is supposed to be Recess that's putting out the new Pinhead Gunpowder 7". Anyone know anything about this? Dates etc?
