Lagwagon have posted the artwork for their upcoming EP. The record is titled I Think My Older Brother Used To Listen To Lagwagon and is due out August 19, 2008. It is the follow-up to Resolve which was released in 2005.

I am the older brother who used to listen to Lagwagon. I kind of stopped paying attention after 'Let's Talk About Feelings'. Is this newer stuff even poppier, or are they back to worshiping Maiden and early Bad Religion again? 7+ Replies

Its okay as the music will probably be just okay (unless they have a return to form). I'd rather look at this though than something like an Atreyu album cover. 2+ Replies

This is probably going to be a great EP, but seriously, if anyone got paid more than $20 to design and layout that cover, Fat got ripped off. 1+ Reply

I think the album art was meant to kind of look like a lame hot topic t shirt for a reason. To be ironic in a way. I never liked Lagwagon but if i did, I'd be that older brother. 2+ Replies

With a record titled that, I was hoping for a picture of a fat dude slamming a beer or something.

Wow no cowboy hats or goofy glasses. Im shocked but it will be good because its Lagwagon.

So fucking stoked for this. I hope it's more Blaze and Hoss than Resolve. 5+ Replies

Meh, I stopped listening to them when I heard "Lets Talk About Feelings". Come to think of it I really only liked "Trashed" and "Hoss"

While I hate hate hate Lagwagon, I've heard from fans that this is really really good Lagwagon tuneage. So, be stoked.

A) The cover art is absolute dog shit. Seriously. What, did it take them 5 minutes to whip that up on photoshop? Horrible. 1+ Reply

I'm glad that other people love the older, maiden-y/southern rock stuff. I love the first three records (especially "Trashed"), but after that they just weren't the same. I still love them, though.

I hope this comes as a vinyl release too. if not I´m gonna be pissed at FAT.
android (June 20, 2008)
while I absolutely love their early material I´m more a fan of the later Lagwagon.

everyone cares about the cover art yet no one buys cds anymore. go figure 1+ Reply

To answer the question posted above and respond to all the negativity in one fell swoop, I'm psyched for this because Resolve is one of the best albums of the decade and leaps and bounds better than anything else they've ever done. I've never seen a more honest, poetic, and all-encompassing picture of the grieving process, and the music matches the moods perfectly.
GIVEMEnewWAVE (June 20, 2008)
why are complaining about the cover art? half you (including myself) are going to illegally download it anyway.
TEAiM (June 20, 2008)
This is great cover art because it matches perfectly the title and theme of the album. Yes its crass and simple and 'looks like a t-shirt' because thats how its meant to look..
thepinballwizard (June 21, 2008)
I'm uber-stoked for the new Lagwagon release and not even crappy cover art is going to change that. | Features

kind of uneventful but, it's lagwagon so the music's gonna be good.
it just kind of looks like a sticker for an eighth grade metal band
