Tours: Against Me! / Japanther (Canada)

Against Me! have announced a short run of Canadian dates this fall. Other than one confirmed show in London, the remainder of the shows take place in Western Canada. The tickets go on sale today, via this page. The entire run will be supported by Brooklyn-based Japanther who are supporting 2007's Skuffed Up My Huffy.

The band most recently released New Wave [Deluxe Edition] in France and through mailorder.

I have never been at that London venue, but it looks terrible from their website. I bet beers are exspensive as well. This guy would be stoked if the venue was Call The Office.

I know, but a guy can dream. That bar still surprises me though with the bands they get. I would think that Buck 65 and Cadence Weapoon would play larger venues, but no, they were at Call the Office a few months ago.

Cowboys obviously can't compare to Call the Office, but it's not terrible. Beers are still relatively cheap. And you're right, CTO still brings in some bigger acts. They have Lagwagon/MxPx and Anti Flag playing in September

I'm from Winnipeg but Call the Office is great. I saw The Matadors there when I was in London last summer. If you're in Winnipeg, check out a show at The Royal Albert Arms and you'll feel right at home, except there are far more sketchy people in Winnipeg that will threaten to cut you with a bottle in the bathroom. Good times....

Toronto would be good , but If they played Guelph or Kitchener I would love it. I hate the drive to London.

I agree like a two night stint at The Pheonix could work maybe with controls like some multi-day shows where you can only buy tickets for one of the shows. I'm so pissed that I missed seeing them like twice and then the first I got see of them was the Fat Tour at The Opera House but even that show seems amazing compared to what they might play now.

do you remember when the weakerthans and constantines played 4 days in a row at lee's palace? i think 2 shows were 19+ and 2 were all ages, either way it was fucking AMAZING and i wish more bands would/could do that.

ah that sucks man, i caught one of the 19+ and one of the all ages, they were surprisingly both great. tickets were like $10 or $12 or something too weren't they? oh the memories..

i saw them at the Whippersnapper Gallery (little art place on College st) last fall. it was stellar. i have footage from the show, but dont' have all of it online. i hope they just play Lee's or even the Mod Club. i will never, never, never go to the Kool Haus unless, i don't know, Billy Dee Williams and Fats Domino were doing a duet there.

We've been getting a lot of bigger acts recently. We had Alice Cooper a couple years ago. Alice fucking Cooper. Not at the wall, mind you... But Rise Against and Anti-Flag did play the venue in February 2007.

A pretty good band however they are HORRENDOUSLY overrated and hyped.

Reinventing Axl Rose I enjoyed, haven't heard Cowboy. Searching and New Wave cannot really enjoy. As far as their stage presence, it looks like musical masturbation. They don't move much and looks like they are just getting off on each other/selves. But Im glad they are where they are at.

I'm 24 and after a shitty breakup went from 180 to 166 pounds. i've stopped losing weight but i am still a little flabby. how can i harden up my mid section. crunches seem to be working only real slow and really it's not that much. i drink a lot of beer. is my only option to quit all the booze. i do lots of running. 4 miles 5 times a week. any suggestions on how to stop this plateau i've hit and

NEVER AGAIN.

Last time I saw Japanther they ended their set early by yelling FUCK BIG ROCK CLUBS and throwing shit and being generally awesome after the club's security threw some people out for stage diving.

This confuses me.
