Chris Hannah of Winnipeg's Propagandhi has confirmed that the band's as yet untitled new record is expected to be released as early as "February or March" (with a US release on Fat Wreck Chords). Responding to a number of questions issued to the band by Punknews contributer crackpotdemagogue, Hannah also confirms that there will be "about 13 songs" on the new record, citing five tentative song-titles as "Supporting Caste", "Tertium Non Datur", "Human(e) Meat", "Funeral Procession" and "Dear Coach's Corner". The band are currently hard at work within the confines of their own Winnipeg based Illegal Combatant Studios, and will, according to Hannah, "finish it up starting next Tuesday at the Blasting Room in Colorado".

I really don't get this band. I've listened to "How To Clean Everything" and it didn't do much for me. Did i listen to the wrong one? 9+ Replies

Yeah.... I LOVE "How To Clean Everything" but other than that, this band never did anything for me. 6+ Replies

PCL was their worst and by their worst, I mean one of my favorites in the last five years

I gave up after realizing there would never be another 'less talk, more rock'. I would rather have a winter weakerthans ep. 5+ Replies

As much as PCL isn't my favourite Propaghandi record, I did really like it. I look forward to rocking the fuck out to this.

Not sure why but I'm kind of surprised US disto is being done by Fat. Of course I don't know who else they would work with but whatever. 6+ Replies

I've never been able to say 'Propagandhi' without struggling, is it just me and my latent form of dyslexia or are there more of me? 5+ Replies

I see and hear a number of people who (like on this news post) take a sharp turn down D4 Avenue when politico bands and songs are mentioned, as if stating the name is proof enough to make them the bench mark of (anti)establishment/religious song writing. 7+ Replies

Potemkin and Today's Empires both completely trump the first two albums. Lyrics, song construction, overall energy......just so much better. I'm sure this album will be no different.

So I've always been out of the loop on this....can someone clear up the whole Prop/Fat Mike falling out thing? All I know is that it happened and the song "One celled creature" has something to do with it. 1+ Reply
iconoclast (October 20, 2008)
best news of the year. i cant fucking wait. if potemkin is any indication, the new album is going to be un-fucking-real. i am stoked about the addition of "the beaver." i recently got the Giant Sons album from G7 and am blown away by it.

Goddamn some of you people are mindless idiots. I don't get why most of you praise the shit out of HTCE and call PCL "weak". Quite the opposite, every album they release they just get better... 1+ Reply
