The Bamboozle hints at NOFX, Gorilla Biscuits, Maroon Five, Britney Spears, Sublime?

The Bamboozle has launched a new splash page that hints at some performers for the 2009 edition of the festival. Each of the band/performer names is scrambled, but we were able to "decode" at least these: NOFX, Maroon Five, Gorilla Biscuits, Britney Spears, and Sublime. The latter seems unlikely due to the death of vocalist Bradley Nowell.

This is seriously one of the worst festivals ever to be conceived. Most festivals are usually meh because when you have 200 bands playing over a weekend, it's going to be a mixed bag.

This shit festival, however, tries very hard every year to up the crap ante.

Maybe for Sublime's appearance, it will be the tribute band Bad Fish. I've never seen these guys but must be good if they can make a living playing another band's songs

I personally really like badfish. I've seen them a couple times at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park for festivals and they kill it.

i'm not sure where the phrase came from but it was around, at least last year.

i was sick a month last year, off and on. mostly on.

this year, i'm the sickest i've been in 8 years. i think i may have even been running a fever this morning, which would make me the sickest in about 15 years.

Yeah I'm pretty bad right now too. I thought it was just do to taking in too much caffeine yesterday, but that's worn off and I still feel like shit. I was at that practice shed show too, so that must be patient zero. I never get sick either. I blame all those damn overseasers bringing over their diseases that our immune systems are not used to.

I'm actually kind of surprised that Sublime hasn't reformed with a new singer by now ala Queen, Doors, Cars, Alice in Chains, etc. I mean, it's a shitty idea and Sublime weren't good to begin with, but it seems like the thing to do nowadays.

They're called Long Beach Dub Allstar / Shortbus.

Both Sublime and LBDA/S are good at times. I'll usually pick up their shit to listen to for a day like once a year, then shelve it again.

This probably has to do with the quote that was up on the Hoodwink's site that said 2009 would be "The year we tribute...." so there will probably be some sort of tribute to those bands.
