Scottish NOFX fans petition for the bands return

Long-running punks NOFX are the subject of a new petition hoping to convince the band to return to Scotland after a seven year absence. The band vowed never to return to Scotland after their last appearance, at a festival in Glasgow, was marred by an incident involving a 'biker gang' that ended in the band requiring a police escort out of the city.

I'll agree and go one further: I'd take the current "sucky" Simpsons over the first two seasons of Homer's weird voice and Marge going through serious mental issues while most of the antics revolved around Bart and his skateboard.

You guys just don't get it. At some point, NOFX got to where they can do whatever they want. They could release a "new" album that has nothing but 14 different version of "Fuck the Kids" and they would still make money. So if they don't want to play somewhere, they won't (and don't have to). Sucks for you, but this petition won't change anything.

Right, okay, so I've never seen NOFX live and I'm sure it would disappoint me but fuck. I need to see them because they're fucking legendary and one of the first punk bands I ever listened to. I know, I could easily go somewhere else that isn't actually that far away but seriously, getting to see them in my own country isn't that whiny is it?

Dude, I'm from Aberdeen. Even just to get to Glasgow or Edinburgh its over 2 hours on the train... Going to England, even if it's just as far as Newcastle is something like 4 or 5 hours by train, more by car. So expensive.... So not punx.
