Spinnerette (ex-Distillers) to release debut EP

Spinnerette, the project from remnants of the Distillers - frontwoman Brody Dalle and guitarist Tony Bevilacqua - have announced plans to release their debut EP in December. The digital EP, Ghetto Love, is due out December 11, 2008. The album features Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, Eleven) and Jack Irons (Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers).

The record will be available via the band's official website.

The Distillers last released Coral Fang in 2003 and fell apart in the years following.

"The team was too open," Benitez said. "When you play like that against a team with pace and ability, it's always a problem."

Liverpool, however, had a player with the happy knack of being in the right place at the right time. The 23rd-minute goal started on the left, with Albert Riera's centre headed out to the opposite side of the pitch. Alvaro Arbeloa moved the ball to Xabi Alonso, whose first instinct is always to see where Gerrard and Fernando Torres - who is a doubt for Monday's game against West Ham after complaining of a tight hamstring - are lurking. The marking was dubious and Gerrard's header combined power and precision.

A cigarette lighter was subsequently thrown at him from the visiting fans and appeared to strike him. "It's important not to react and leave these people to the police," Gerrard said.

UEFA said it would investigate.
