Break-ups: Wardogs (2007-2008)

San Francisco's Wardogs have called it quits. The band, which formed last year and featured members of the Lucky Stiffs, were recording their debut LP Self Help in Hard Times for Asian Man. According to the band, the album will not be finished.

They released their Spread the Disease 7 inch earlier this year.

I ain't saying like...all the individual CDs...I mean...it used to be like 9 long ass aisles. I swear I've been there in the last month. Suddenly I go today and it is like 3 half aisles of Wal Mart music. And there is like a guitar center wannabe room over to the side. Is it all really because I've been downloading so much music?

I hate Speed, when that bus caught air and jumped the freeway my brain totally got up and walked out of the theater. Die Hard 2 was another one, although I liked part 3.

One of the consistently great live bands out there right now. My favorite Lucky Stiffs stuff was with Greg De Hoot anyway, so it made perfect sense that the Wardogs would be just as good, if not better and to me, I'm right. I see them whenever I can, can't wait for the new album.

any amatuer astronomers out there? There is this star I've been seeing the last week or so. I am on the SW coast of FL and it is to the south and just 1/4 or so west of me and starts out pretty low in the sky. The first night it was moderately cloudy/hazy and it was so bright and through the atmosphere it had this airplaney haze around it I kept looking and thinking 'this has to be a plane...there is no way.' And I waited for it to come closer but it don't move none. There is another star a small ways above and a tick or 2 to the left of it that is almost as bright. Say 3/4ths as bright. I keep thinking it is so bright it has to be the north star but no it is totally south and a little west.
