Dollyrots, Girl in a Coma plan 2009 releases

Blackheart Records Group has announced some updates on plans for 2009. The Dollyrots are in the studio right now, recording their third album, produced by Chris Testa. Plans are underway for a 2009 release.

Girl in a Coma has finished work on their second album, produced by Greg Collins (Gwen Stefani) and Gabe Gonzalez (member of Sleepercar) with a few tracks produced by Joan Jett and Kenny Laguna. The album is also headed for a release this year.

The Dollyrots are fucking awesome. I saw them in the middle of nowhere in Minnesota a few years back. They were late getting there. Doors at 7 and they didn't even get to town till like 10, so that sucked. But because they were late, they refused to take any money from us. The power went out, and they played a few (kinda) acoustic songs. The lead girl (who is pretty attractive btw) broke her ankle a few days before when she was RUNNING FROM THE COPS and didn't miss a show. She just taped a drumstick to her leg.

Awesome, awesome people. And pretty cute and catchy tunes on top of that.

Yes, they're definitely one of the coolest bands to deal with when it comes to bands on the road. Booked them 3 times here in Western MA and they always hang out, sign stuff and sell a TON of merch.

I'm looking forward to this album.
