I haven't been reading much about these guys lately, so I wasn't expecting this at all. 1+ Reply

They're playing with the Bad Brains on the 5th. How sweet will that show be? 5+ Replies

I think this album is great. It has a little something for everyone here. The musicianship and production are fucking incredible and this album actually has melody, something that I feel has been lacking recently. I think there's a couple songs that would fit perfectly on LTMR. Anyhow, definitely liking it more than PCL

Man this record is fucking incredible! Great guitar riffs, great melody, sick drumming...wow.
SumWon (March 3, 2009)
This album is actually boring me a bit. And it sounds NOTHING like Less Talk. It sounds like an extention of Potemkin, which still bores me a bit. That gives me a bad feeling about this one's 'grower' potential.
Citizen_Crack (March 3, 2009)
After one album I like the album, but don't love it. That's how I felt about PCL though, which turned out to be a grower. After one listen though, "Banger's Embrace" is easily my favorite song. What're everyone else's favorites? 6+ Replies

I'm watching TV and there is a Transplants song on a commercial. Here's the kicker. It's NOT Diamonds and Guns (Whoo ooooo). It's that " I............Want........It..........All..........." song.
IAmJetBlack (March 4, 2009)
I wish more of these songs sounded like Nation States. I could listen to that song a million times over and still dig it.

Great stuff. Listening to this now for the first time and am going to preorder tomorrow

Best record since Today's Empire's by a mile. And really, fuck their old shit compared to their last three. Great albums for their time but I'm so good on the NOFX clones.

I don't get evertone complaining bout how this sounds nothing like Nation States...wht's his name left years ago to form the Weakerthans and Todd joined as the new bass player. It was always evident that the other two dudes wanted to play heavier thrash influenced stuff, but the sensitive Weakerthans dude was just a weird fit. Good for him doing his own thing, but he couldn't have been more out of place and they've sounded nothing like that since he left. Todd's songs are straight up old school hardcore/ thrash and chris's are like a meoldic thrash and that started the moment the weakerthans dude left. If you want to hear that old sound, than listen to early Weakerthans album. I don't think that these guys have any interest in revisiting that era and they're all the better for it. They hae a realy unique sound, like a mix of thrash and show rest of comment 3+ Replies
