Can I ask why you single out Jawbreaker? I'd say a majority of the complaints you raise could easily apply to any other org-core band. Is it just because people regard them as special, and somehow of more artistic merit than other org-core bands? Or are you just trying to be controversial and get some replies?

No other "org-core" band sounds like the music I made when I was in middle school. Everything about Jawbreaker, from the people themselves, to their song structures, to their underwhelming live performances, to the sophomoric lyrical content, is just awful.

Case closed.

I'll be honest, Jawbreaker never resonanted with me the way they have with almost everyone else here. I wouldn't call them stab-my-eyes-out awful (so by your definition, I am awful), but they don't really catch my attention. I prefer faster music.

The point is, there are plenty of bands that I do consider stab-out-your-eyes awful, but I don't spend much time worrying about those bands. You seem to legitimately dislike Jawbreaker, which is fine by me, but the fact that 100% of your posts center around this topic just makes it seem like a gimmick and a cry for attention. I'm sure most of the people here dislike at least one of the "org-core" favorites, but they don't go bringing it up in every single post they make. You've got your thing, but eventually it will get old, and then what? Can you just be a regular poster with various opinions?

I'm not defending Jawbreaker. Like I said, I'm not a huge fan.

All I'm saying is that your singular focus has become a gimmick and a sad cry for attention. I guess that's how it goes with trolls. Prove me wrong by posting comments relevant to a threat, not related to Jawbreaker, or keep doing your thing until you stop getting responses.

And even though you misunderstood my argument, you do raise a valid point: in spending energy on this argument, I am just providing you the type of attention that will sustain your posts even longer.

Kim Jong-Il represents a credible and serious threat to American security. Last week North Korea demonstrated a missile with the ability to reach the West Coast. Granted, mounting a warhead on it could slow it down and decrease its range, but add a couple more HPs and nuclear capability, and he could destroy Hawaii, California, and our allies Japan.

Once the economic crisis is solved, the next true test for the Obama adminstration and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be defusing this East Asian powder keg.

Whew. Happy?

I like when the Bouncing Souls play acoustic songs live like how they've been doing for the past few years. At least when Greg is playing a guitar he's DOING something instead of just standing there.
