Tours: Green Day announces tour routing

Green Day have unveiled the routing for their summer tour. The tour kicks off July 3rd and will see the band traveling through the US and Canada until August 25th. The shows are in support of their new album, 21st Century Breakdown, due out May 15, 2009.

If you can stand to see the Alkaline Trio these days (wack sound, fat high school girls with way too much makeup), I don't see how this is too different.

Saw Alk. Trio back in November and I only recognized three or four songs. Sounded really good though, but I was at the bar talking to Benny from Gaslight at this time.

what was awesome about why they canceled their show in '98 was they claimed "an injured ankle or some shit" but really they went into Rick's bar (which is a sleazy ass biker bar in town) and got into a fight and got their asses kicked. Thus they essentially said "fuck you, Fargo" and left. I really hope something similar happens again.

Yeah...I'm guessing the HP Pavilion. Which is odd because I'd think Shoreline would have way better acoustics.

Green Day was my favorite band untill I saw them live in 2005 and they played for about 3 hours, approximately 2 hours and 30 minuts of it was billy joe telling the crowd to go "hey-oh"

If the opening acts are good, I might be more inclined to go. They'll basically play "the hits" and the bulk of the new album, which isn't looking good. The new single is the most boring single they've released (not counting the covers since American Idiot), and I've listened to the leaked "21st Century Breakdown" only a few times in months of having it. Very worried about what the new album will sound like.

The b-side for the single, "Lights Out," is actually very good...not unlike something that would've been recorded during the Nimrod sessions.
