Hmm... I think it's because Aubin realizes there are more than the stereotypical drunks who have accounts that read this site. Or, he also realizes that to create a well-respected and well-known website -- and makie it last -- sometimes he has to bring in least popular stories to branch out.

I could be wrong though, and you're probably right.
