Bomb The Music Industry! announce rarities album

New York's Bomb the Music Industry! has announced that they are releasing an album of previous vinyl-only material. Others! Others! Volume 1 was announced by singer/guitarist/songwriter/head honcho Jeff Rosenstock on their myspace page and will be released for free/download on Quote Unquote Records on May 7, 2009.

Bomb The Music Industry released Scrambles this past February.

They were a lot better than I thought they would be live... they just don't care; half the stuff they were playing was just noise and he would tune (without a pedal or the volume down) in mid song. It surprisingly works for them.

This is exciting.

That sounds like a fun show. I hate when bands take themselves so seriously. Plus, these guys' catalog is fantastic.

I hate it too, but I'd be annoyed if all bands were as whimsical as BTMI! live. Their music is basically just obscure noises to begin with, so I think it's an exlusive aspect that they can do such.

True, every band needs its own degree of performance. I just hate going to a show and hearing the album, ya know? Unless you can add to the strength of your song, you might as well be lip-synching...

I've never been less compelled to hear a band. "Some of the cutest guitar playing I've ever heard" is the absolute opposite of "these dudes totally sound like Reign In Blood era Slayer" or "holy shit, these guys totally bite the Adolescents style." Type those words instead.

Trying to watch an episode now would be pointless, you won't have any fucking clue what's going on.

Netflix that shit. It's easy to watch a whole season in a weekend.

After watching 15 minutes? You probably just hate it because people keep telling you how awesome it is and you feel it's overhyped.

LOST rules and you're taste in TV shows apparently sucks.

I like the first couple of seasons of Family Guy, sure. You're right, I feel Lost is overhyped. I don't really like tv shows in general. I hate when people act like it's real life, like "oh my god I can't believe **** died!" or "I hope **** happens tonight!" I think tv dramas are cheesy as fuck.

can't wait to download this, jeff and the boys are amazing and both times i saw them play it was hilariously awesome - half the time jeff was joking about being out of tune, or making fun of the fact that he was wearing a girls slackers shirt that was clearly a few sizes too small... either way. i love this band. im glad to have fun and dont take themselves too serious.
also, going to see the afterbeat, street corner skandal and sound one (awesome canada ska!) tonight! hell yeah!

Kirk Hinrich is the dirtiest player in the league. He deserves, and usually causes, everything he gets. Constant holding, groin punches, incessant whining, and flopping. What a guy.

If you don't believe he's the dirtiest in the league, just ask Flip Saunders, Flip Murray, Dwyane Wade, Pat Riley, or any member of the Oklahoma Sooners teams that went up against him in the early 90s (I'm a huge OU fan and they constantly got into it), and every guard in the NBA.

I fucking hate that guy.
