The Bad Brains have announced their summer festival dates. The hardcore pioneers will visit Spain, France, Belgium, England, California, Poland, Finland and Japan over the next few months.

Booorring. I also saw them at HOH and was pretty bored. I only caught a bit of it because I found it difficult to sleep comfortably standing up. buh.

I bet with that many shows that close together as far as time, but far apart as far as distance, that HR will not be the HR that everyone knows and loves. But rather the one that stands there with his back to the crowd not moving very much.....

they were great at harvest of hope. they sounded great.
HR is just.. it is what it is. e's a crack head.

but the band, was dead on.

i hope they are better now than they were when they toured as soul brains a few years ago. it wasn't so much that they were bad as hr was so out of his mind that it was chaos. he had one of my friends thrown out for no apparent reason, had a canary on stage with him and a duffel bag that was apparently filled with socks.

the show i saw in dc last year, the band was amazingly tight. hr was forgetting whole verses, and generally being a mumbling, bumbling fool throwing peace signs. then they skipped the encore i against i. i can guess who was responsible for that.

i ordered this ep by a band called By the Lights on a whim because it has the old bass player for Digger in it and it was only six bucks. i had some interpunk credits i needed to use.

anchor arms are pretty good. i always get them confused with anchors for arms though.

i hate this, but mine is usually due to some damn tourist standing on the left side of the escalator or stopping in the middle of the platform for no reason.

they should make tourists take a class before they can ride metro

I think of Jim Webb as being a warrior poet in the vein of great leaders such as Kurtz from Apocalypse Now. He could definately take on Arnie.

Yeah, HR is HR. But its worth seeing just for the band. They are tight as fuck. The crowd usually sings louder than HR anyhow so its still worth checking out.
