Classics of Love robbed in the UK, plan album

Classics of Love, the new band from Jesse Michaels of Operation Ivy and Common Rider, were the unfortunate victims of a theft at their show in Southampton, UK on May 6 when a guitar was apparently stolen from them. The band had this to say about the incident:

"Last night we lost a guitar and believe it was stolen. Obviously we are hoping it was something more innocent but you know how it goes. If you happen to have been to the Southhampton gig at Talking Heads and know anything about this give us a shout so we can try to work it out. If you stole it and give it back we will take it without any recriminations. This is obviously a ridiculous long-shot, but what the hell."

The band also mentions that after their current tour they plan to "start writing an album right away". Their debut EP, Walking in Shadows, will be released by Asian Man Records on June 23, 2009.

i beleive it leaked. its very Common Rider esque though, less ska oriented. It sounds like Common Riders thief in a sleeping town ep.

I shaved/waxed my legs for the first time in my life yesterday, other girls made it seem like the pain would be like giving birth or something but it was pretty mild. Still you gentleman that like your ladies not hairy should be greatful to your ladies if they do that for you.

in spite of the fact that i won't shave much more than my neck and stache, i very much appreciate the hair removal techniques my ladies go through. i'm grateful for women that shave parts and wear heels, cause i know they are doing all of this for me (well, us men anyway)

Definitely not news worthy (who cares about a stolen guitar?)...the new album section is only an afterthought mentioned at the end, and that is the only news here. Well, what can you do? I wish I was a writer for this site. But I am excited to here this band, and it sounds like Jesse gave up the ska/reggae stuff which I think is a good thing.
