Garageland visits The Warped Tour to discover the worst band

Our friends at Exclaim sent their correspondent to Warped Tour to cover the event. In the first segment, the reporter asks Alexisonfire guitarist Wade MacNeil who the worst band on Warped is. MacNeil replies: "you got a couple of minutes?"

That kicks off a series of quick interviews with NOFX, Alexisonfire, Gallows, Senses Fail and many more. Those folks present their nominees for worst band which include Saosin, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Senses Fail, Brokencyde and Flipper.

Seriously. I was flipping through channels last night and they were on Jimmy Kimmel. Words cannot describe how truly god-awful they were. You really should go to Kimmel's website to check out their performance...it's almost enjoyable how bad they are

Also, I gotta say, for the pace Fat Mike was moving that dude did a good job of keeping up with him. Also, he looks like Jay Nothington and says "eh" a lot.

for worst? they are playing the same venue, different room at the off with their heads show next month in cincy. i'm hoping that their sets don't conflict but if they do, no question, i'll be seeing OWTH.

Fat Mike needs to get over this whole Christian bashing. It is good for a song or two but it gets repetitive and boring to hear non-freakin-stop.....sorta like, I dunno, how Christian bands tend to drone on and on about one topic, maybe?

He's starting to sound like that friend everyone has that incessently rags on some chick so much that it's obvious he's in love with her.

Find a new punching bag, Mike, we all agree the Christian kids are a bit off. Move on.

I can't get enough of it. The ruling religion of the USA loves to paint itself as a "minority" a lot too. Now, THAT's annoying. Under God worked its way into the pledge, In god we trust is on money, you have to swear on a bible in court and if you don't you look untrustworthy by the social standards of psychotic grown men and women who believe in the boogey man. bums me out how everyone seems to pussyfoot around the question. i can't imagine how many no comments he must have got. all these assholes will talk about their opinions in their songs but can't man up and say "hey these people fucking suck"?

there were like three or four quality responses in that whole video. nobody wanted to name names. whatever. stupid. just like the warped tour.

i agree, except for the fact that these guys are about to head out on a three month tour with all of those bands and this is the first day of tour. why make enemies?

not to mention. i have some friends in some really, really shitty bands (even ones on warped tour) and i tend to keep my opinions to myself about those bands. i understand not wanting to say anything.

so what? if they're decent people they're decent people. i have a buddy who plays in atreyu. he's a good guy but he knows i don't really dig his band and it doesn't end the world.

all you have to have is honest communication. "hey, you're not bad, i'm no fan of your work though."

put any of these people behind the anonymous veil of the internet and they'd have no problem calling out bad music. stand up for what you believe in, do it with integrity and honesty and people will respect you for having an opinion, even if it differs from theirs.

maturity can be a crazy thing sometimes.

that's funny, because nothing seems more immature to me than calling out a band that you're touring with on some internet video.

i have no problem with saying something to them in person or casual conversation, but in a public forum its a bit different.

also save the "stand up for what you believe in, do it with integrity and honesty and people will respect you" rant for a discussion that doesn't involve who's worse between brokencyde and saosin.

The straight truth is this; when your band talks shit about other bands (no matter how right you are), you make enemies. It's harder to book shows, it's harder to get people to watch you, etc. This doesn't stop me, I've never been in a popular band. Could it be cuz we suck? Yes, of course, but it's more likely that we're a skate-punk band in a town ruled by alterna-metal-christcore.

Whoever was the first to find a postive review of the Brokencyde album had to buy the other one a bottle.
I got 15 pages deep in google, NOTHING. We both gave up.

That sounds like a backwards competition. All you would have to do is sit back, play some xbox and wait for your stupid friend to come babooning into the room saying "Hey Chuck, I found a good review of Brokencyde on AP.net! What kind of booze do you want me to buy you?"

When Saosin, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, and Senses Fail got brought up I think it's safe to say that the dude was just reading from the band list in alphabetical order as a joke. Granted, none of those bands are very good, but still.

I will say at that show The Gallows singer went on a tirade about what bands to not support at Warped and it included Brokencyde, I think it also had Dance Gavin Dance. So, they're being pretty vocal.

I love Flipper, but they are a bad band. They have good songs, but they do suck. However, its hard to explain, but I guess they write cool songs they just suck musically. They don't know the first thing about playing their instruments, yet they are still a cool band even though they sound like they are playing in a garbage can. The best shitty band ever.

Bands like Saosin though are just a different kind of suck in that their music just plane sucks.

any band that isnt NOFX, Big D, Anti-Flag, Bad Religion, Pennywise, Flogging Molly, Bouncing Souls, Less Than Jake, or Streetlight Manifesto.

I'm excluding the bands that only play california because that really just pisses me off cuz there's alot of bands i wanna fucking see that wont go on the tour.
