I just read one of Brian's old reviews. I'd like to know. I've never heard these guys. Don't know anybody that knows or likes these guys and I don't stream shit off myspace.

Curious. That Phantom Maggot dude reviewed one of their records and I like that dude enough. He's said enough decent things around here that I don't think he's an asshat.

Glad that I am nearly out of the asshat woods. I'd say they sound a lot like Black Flag/Bronx meet Misfits. They don't sound like a particular Misfits-era, but they sing about drinking blood and what have you, and have of hooks and "whoas" that are reminiscent of the Misfits. They are killer live as well.

Also, I don't think that I reviewed their album...I don't want to take credit for someone else's work. But, I have posted a couple comments saying that I liked 'em.

Ohhhh boy, and the Monster Squad is in full effect.

I just watched that movie a few weeks. It was much better 20 years ago, still tolerable though.

Kinda. A little bit more aggressive though. Their performance at the Fest was fucking rad. They had a pretty post-modern performance of being a "hardcore" band.

The old stuff is pretty much like that, yeah but now they're more like hardcore influenced Punk Rock & Roll. Equal parts The Bronx, Turbo Negro and Hot Snakes.

never could get into hour of the wolf. they're one of those bands that seem to have everything going for them that i'd be into, sorta like mastodon. but then like mastodon, i listen to them and something just doesn't click with me. meh.

also the BOTM pic for greeley estates makes me want to punch all those dudes in the face.

at least i know i'm not crazy. the harmony/singing together parts blend nicely, but those call-and-response parts i'm just like......dude ranch.

agreed. i wish that was a full song, so i could hear that damn chorus melody another 2 or three times.

Landlocked, Whiskey & Records, and Park Bench/Goodbye to Oakland are probably the standouts for me.
