Weezer have released the video for their first single, "(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To." The clip was directed by Marc Webb (of the film 500 Days of Summer) and features Odette Yustman (Fallout 3, Cloverfield.)

Not a fan of music videos but Weezer sure does make some good ones. Chainsaw to the arm was a nice touch.

One thing you can still say about Weezer is that they always make entertaining videos.

I made the same statement to Weezer, but it was in regards to stopping playing music.

At 5 AM this morning I was woken up by roommate pounding on my door screaming to get out on the balcony. I walk out and look down to see our cars and another roommate's motorcycle belching 8 foot flames. 20 minutes and a few explosions later the fires were out and the vehicles were charred to the ground. Someone tipped over the bike and drenched it in something flammable, but we have no idea who. We also don't know if any insurance will cover the damage done to the house or if our landlords gonna stick us with the bill. Fucking arsonists. 11+ Replies

this was actually a lot better than i expected it to be. i can't say i'm going to pick this album up though.

this is better than anything i've heard out of weezer in like 8 years.

I like this song and this video, too. They have some tourdates with Jack's Mannequin and Motion City Soundtrack that are not coupled with this story for some reason.

A good video that made me enjoy an otherwise boring pop song. I do love Rivers Cuomo.

I'll echo everyone else's statements that this is the best thing I've heard from Weezer since the Green Album.
Gary_Busey (October 22, 2009)
There IS no OTHER Buddy Holly... I like Buddy fine, but I'M Gary Busey.
Cos (October 22, 2009)
Is it just Hollywood trickery or has Rivers not aged a day since the "Buddy Holly" video?

This is by far the worst single I think I've heard from them. Make Believe and the Red album at least had their personality thrown into it, even if they sucked. This is the most watered down un-Weezeriest song I think they've ever done, it just sounds like any generic radio song. I'd rather they at least make their own brand of shitty music than dime a dozen shitty music.

josh freese i guess doesnt want to be a full time member of another band

I'm wondering if anybody else would understand the awesomeness of Odette Yustman because I'm not sure if anyoen knows what Fallout 3 is....
ahopeagainsthope (October 22, 2009)
It's a shame that this is probably the only good song on the new album.

Am I wrong or is that intro lifted straight from Town Called Malice by The Jam? | Features
