Looks like Against Me! will be wrapping up the year with three shows in California. The shows will feature Roll the Tanks and O Pioneers!!!.

I've heard Gilman. It's a small venue run, they're not going to do a bigger place.

I've heard rumblings of Gilman too. It wouldn't be impossible but it'd be odd. First, their lack of ticketing could make the entire area a nightmare of kids waiting outside. Secondly, after their actively "indie only" stance it'd be odd to have a band who is so disliked in parts of the DIY scene (Gilman kids are the closest thing to PIX kids I'd imagine on the West coast).

From what I know, Gilman still won't book any band affiliated or that has any ties with a major label, no matter who they are. Though, it would be nice to see them there again....

Well, Pinhead Gunpowder played there last year.
Billie Joe is in Pinhead Gunpowder.
Billie Joe is in Green Day.
Green Day has been on a Reprise Records for 15 years.
Reprise Records is a major label.
Billie Joe being in a band on a major label is affiliation / ties.

Green Day played at gilman a few years ago. I know they weren't booked and it was a surprise show, but still...

This is true. However, this was Pinhead Gunpowder and not Green Day. Also, there was a period of time where the venue and those associated with it were violently anti-Green Day. "Billie Joe must die" was painted on the wall for a while. I know that's then and not now, but it's not a trend that has passed entirely in that community.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure Green Day did a secret show at Gilman around the time American Idiot came out. I think a lot of the violently anti-Green Day/ major label stuff died out when Tim Yohannan died.

Roll The Tanks are clearly very well connected. It always surprises me to see the shows they get on considering that pretty much no one has ever heard of them. They're doing something right.

But they never seem to play any other shows. The only shows I've ever heard of them playing is opening for NOFX, AgainstMe, etc. Nothing other than that.

Troub is sold out... I got my tickets for the Spaceland date, and I'm stoked.
Also, I enjoy Roll The Tanks. I don't think they're the best thing since sliced bread or anything, but they're good at what they do.
