When's VA getting the 3xLP treatment?

ZachLeg (April 8, 2010)

We are actually thinking about doing a 7' split with a band called Glory Bound from PA. They we're featured on here last week. We'll be touring with them this summer. I'm trying to find a show for Richmond, but it seems as though all the venues are closing.

redscare (April 7, 2010)

I find stuff like this so unnecessary and depressing.

milesqtoast (April 7, 2010)

I thought I was still in the hoh article: "damn dude, harsh"

ExtraCheesePizza (April 8, 2010)

Still not as bad as the $450 Pixies box set.

Misanthropee (April 7, 2010)

Were it to include the DVDA of the album instead of the CD, I'd definitely buy this.

you_are_a_loser (April 7, 2010)

I love DVDA. Now you're a mah-on.

Misanthropee (April 7, 2010)

OK, so I walked right into that one.

Patron (April 7, 2010)

A Mawy mawy maw!

shawnlw (April 8, 2010)

What makes a mayon, is it the woman in his arms? Just 'cuz she has big titties? Or is it the way he fights every day? NO IT'S PROBLY THE TITTIES!

ashtraymonument (April 8, 2010)

I never seen a man eat so many chicken wings!

equal (April 8, 2010)

There is a set that includes the DVD-A version instead of the CD.

http://kingsroadmerch.com/epitaph-records/view/?id=1337&artis t=84

It's an extra $9, I have the DVD version, it's pretty amazing.

Descendentmark (April 7, 2010)

This is a good Fucking album I will buy this.

2kings (April 7, 2010)

Anarchypants (April 7, 2010)

Chamberlain Waits is seriously amazing.

ELTON (April 7, 2010)

Refused to issue deluxe 3 DISC "Shape of Punk to Come" or 2 CD + 1 DVD

guess the live album isnt very good. not good enough to sell on its own that is.

Peking_Spring_Rolls (April 7, 2010)

A bootleg of it has been going around for awhile, if it's what I'm thinking it is. It's taken off of a radio broadcast but sounds ok and the performances are above average. They intercut Swedish language interviews into it though so those are the skip over tracks.

givemeamuseumandillfillit (April 8, 2010)

That's not the one. That's from P3 Popstad, a radio festival, whereas this one is from a full-on festival. I'd say it's better than the bootlegged one.

hayman (April 8, 2010)

If the sound quality is anything like on "refused are fucking dead" the live stuff will be a waste of time.

thewolfmechanic (April 7, 2010)

Capitalism is, indeed, organized crime, and we are all the victims.

dlangl4 (April 7, 2010)

Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans

10/10

Misanthropee (April 7, 2010)

I enjoyed it, but that's a bit high. It's good to know Herzog can still film decent fiction, though.

dlangl4 (April 8, 2010)

I admit it's a bit high. My real score would be like 9/10 or so. I just didn't want to make the official call so soon after seeing it, but since you twisted my arm and put a gun to my head.

He won't ever top Kasper Hauser (sp). So good.

bastard_squad (April 7, 2010)

Speaking of things that are fucking dead...you know what movie rules?
Dead Heat starring Treat Williams

RonnieD (April 8, 2010)

Fuck, this really was the shape of punk to come. What a bad template for so many bands to emulate. This style took punk in a direction that merged with other horrible genres; look who the quotes are from in the preview: dudes from Metallica, RATM and Guns 'N Roses. .....more like the shape of non-punk to come.

A_Lan (April 8, 2010)

Ahah Wow. This was a great template. Not only was the album great but they managed to combine elements of punk, hardcore, and even add electronic beats and sounds into the mix to create something original. In my opinion they have had more of an influence on what the kids call "Screamo" and post-hardcore then they actually have on what might consider a traditional "punk" band. Like Street, pop-punk, ect. But still post-hardcore is an amazing genre of music. These guys new what was up

ZachLeg (April 8, 2010)

This kid in my Poly Sci class told me he listened to post hardcore. Apparently the Devil Wears Prada is post hardcore

bastard_squad (April 8, 2010)

He meant to say "hardcrap"

ZachLeg (April 8, 2010)

Me and my friend looked at each other and rolled our eyes. I was tempted to verbally tear that kid a new one, but I figured I didn't need anymore punk points for the day.

milesqtoast (April 8, 2010)

too bad 8 more and you could've gotten this sweet chinese finger trap.

milesqtoast (April 8, 2010)

if you collect all 7 they combine to form the anarchy symbol.

A_Lan (April 8, 2010)

Lol nooo TDWP is Metalcore. Post-hardcore is a lot more punk influenced. Fugazi, Thursday, old Thrice. But post-hardcore and metalcore are often associated with eachother idk why. Somtimes it really is hard to draw the line. One is more punk, the other is more metal. woop.

bradc930 (April 8, 2010)

Are you fucking serious?

A_Lan (April 8, 2010)

About what kind sir?

milesqtoast (April 8, 2010)

gotta be thatsyouth

milesqtoast (April 8, 2010)

I would have liked to sit it on the meeting where capital one decided they were going to go with the unwashed horde of vikings as the permanent spokesmen.

milesqtoast (April 8, 2010)

there is like a mile long stretch of road that goes by where my apartment is. This stretch has no streetlights or cross streets or anything and it has a nice gradual 90 degree turn (on one side is the aparment/twins stadium/grocery store shopping center, on the other is a 6 mile long nature preserve hence the name Six Mile Cypress Pkwy) from stoplight to stoplight. Long story short a couple times a week late at night I hear whiney ass engines roaring down it (and I'm like 400 yards away from the actual road) every ten minutes or so for say an hour or two. I'd be too afraid of hitting some random person or a racoon to street race.

milesqtoast (April 8, 2010)

is where I was going with that.

dlangl4 (April 8, 2010)

You must live right where I live. I hear races every single night on the road right by my apartment complex. I've yet to see it myself but I really want to see how fast they are going.

scarysmurf (April 8, 2010)
